Rain, Puns and the Zoo

Today has been a gray day indeed, filled with clouds, fog, rain and more persistent rain.

For a while we entertained ourselves playing 'the pun game'.  I read about it in a book.  Two people converse only in puns, along a particular theme.  Ours was "traveling".   Every response has to contain a pun.

N: The next time I go to the dentist, I have to have a route canal.
G:  That should bring lots of smiles.
N:  I hope you don't get tired of this game.
G:  If I do, we can always just rest stop.
N:  Is there no limit to your punning?
G:  Are you ready to exit this game now?
N:  Yes, it is giving me gas.
G:  I can toot the horn.

We laughed our fool heads off for a while!  Maybe we'll try it again, going across Montana, perhaps with an "animal theme".

When we reached our destination--Erie, Pennsylvania, the rain stopped, just in time for us to go to the zoo.  And what a lovely zoo it was!

One could really see the animals, up close and personal.  It was a treat.
